I'm sure anyone who works a lot in front of a computer and/or has a busy schedule knows that sleep is a very important aspect of life. Staying in front of a display (no matter a laptop, tablet, or phone) for multiple hours a day or having a coffee in the second part of the day can often lead to being exhausted but unable to sleep at night. Of course, it's about sleep hygiene, and I've already implemented multiple habits to resolve this issue, but having a little help in terms of sleep quality, stress factor, and providing insights into how I can improve on these aspects is a huge help.
I ordered the
Oura ring from their official website and could not find any detailed guide or article explaining how the order works, how long it takes to receive the sizing kit first, how to track that package, and so on. This is why I decided to place the order, see the process, and, in the end, write this article, so those who will be in my position at some point will find it useful.
Oura Ring - The Ordering Process
The first step to ordering the Oura ring is to go to their official website: https://ouraring.com/en. Once you're on the website, you'll need to create an account or sign in if you already have one.
Once you're logged in, you can start the ordering process. You'll need to choose which ring size you want and then select whether you want to include the free sizing kit. I recommend choosing the sizing kit, as it will help you to ensure that you get the correct size ring.
Receiving the Sizing Kit
I placed the order on January 7th, 2024, and 2 days after the order, I got an e-mail with the confirmation the sizing kit had been delivered to me.
In that e-mail, there is a tracking code which, if clicked, you will see the route of the delivery on the Deutsche Post website and that helps because you can have an idea when the package will arrive at your address.
Even if the tracking description doesn't offers to much information, you at least see where the package is. However, you should also track that code on your own country's post website. In my case, I live in Romania, so I copied the tracking code and checked that on the Romanian Post Website, where I could find more details and the exact date when I entered the country. This way, I found that the package took 16 days from the moment it was delivered to me until it arrived in my country and another 5 days until I was able to get it.
Once I got the sizing kit, I tried all of the rings to find the best size for me and continued the order process on Oura's website. It is recommended that you stay with the plastic ring on your finger for at least 1-2 days to ensure the perfect fit.
The size 10 ring fit perfectly. After wearing it for a few days, I confirmed the size using the initial email from Oura and from that moment I was ready to get the real Oura Ring.
Oura Ring Arrived At my Door
This time, delivery was handled by DHL and was much smoother – the ring arrived at my door within 5 days. Once I confirmed the size, DHL sent a tracking code that allowed me to monitor the delivery progress.
Since the Oura ring arrived, it's barely left my finger! The sleep tracking alone has been a revelation – the detailed sleep stages and personalized insights match the accuracy of my bulkier Apple Watch Ultra 2.
